In compliance with the order of the Honorable Supreme Court of India, New Delhi, dated 16.05.2007 in SLP(C) No.24295/2004, Sri Balamurugan College of Arts & Science for women has established a robust Anti-Ragging Committee to curb the menace of ragging in educational institutions. The directive states:
“If any incident of ragging comes to the notice of the authority, the concerned students shall be given liberty to explain and if their explanation is not found satisfactory, the authority would expel them from the institution.”
Supervision The Anti-Ragging Committee functions under the direct supervision of the Principal.
Members The committee includes heads of various departments, along with two senior students and two junior students who voluntarily and effectively participate.
Meetings The Principal arranges committee meetings each semester to address and rectify student queries and to develop preventive measures.
The committee ensures the strict implementation of the Supreme Court's directions, maintaining a safe and supportive environment for all students.
